BARTENDER FUNCTION

Prepares controls and distributes bar beverages for servers and guests as outlined in the bar manual and consistent with the prescribed and standards. Performs duties in a conscientious company-oriented manner, insuring guest satisfaction and control of company assets.

LOOKING: Someone with experience designing and implementing brand new and revamped cocktail menu.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 Experienced in high volume action operations.

 Sociable.

 Able to communicate and work well with others.

 Well-groomed and with good demeanor.

 Ability to perform basic addition.

 Physical stamina and manual dexterity.

 Good memory.

 Honest.

 Legal age.

 Must practice proper personal hygiene requirements as outlined in the training manual.

 Able to lift cases of wine, liquor, glass racks etc. up to 75 pounds.

 Theft of any item belonging to this establishment or another employee to guest will not be tolerated.

 Use of profanity or physical force toward guests or fellow employees will not be tolerated.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

 Has full working knowledge of cocktails, terms and recipes.

 Performs necessary opening side work to insure a neat, clean, guest ready bar as outlined in the posted side work.

 Requests and/or receives daily beer, wine, liquor, and mix issued from manager. Double-checks for accuracy and puts away.

 Sells, promotes and prepares all beverages as outlined in the bar manual.

 Obtains, verified and assumes total accountability for the bar bank.

 Cleans and maintains entire area and equipment behind the bar before, during and after the shift.

 Understands and is able to operate the P.O.S. System.

 Understands and complies with the company rules and policies.

 Retaining quest checks with proper ring-up before preparing the next order.

 Makes change for servers and guests.

 Provides service and receives payment from guests seated at the bar.

 Provides service for all bar guests when there is no cocktail server on duty.

 Cuts fruits, prepares mixes and washes glassware.

 Is responsible for monitoring the bar and wine inventory and reporting any discrepancies to the restaurant manager.

 Is responsible and accountable for the bar cost which includes beer, wine, liquor, mix and operating supplies.

 Is responsible for knowledge of restaurant, bar promotions and or specials.

 Performs posted closing sidework to insure a clean and secure bar.

 Verifies age and identification of guests when appropriate.

 Is familiar and proficient with menus and general policies to be able to answer guests' questions.

 Counts bar bank and prepares server revenue report. Verifies all amounts are correct and turns over to the manager/office.

 Is willing to openly discuss operational policies with the management.

 Is responsible for insuring proper care, cleanliness and appearance of the issued uniform.

 Keeps M.O.D. and chef informed of guests reactions, comments or problems that may arise.

 Is responsible for knowledge of his/her own schedule.

 Performs other duties assigned by the Manager on duty.

 Checks out with the M.O.D. before leaving shift.

 Understands and is responsible for the execution of the service standards of their department.

 Shows a willingness and effort to work as a team member.

 Maintains a flexible schedule.
